In the current project “SoKul - Talking about caring cultures in end-of life care”, led by Dr. Katharina Heimerl (University of Vienna), the participants are using the storytelling café method to explore attitudes and experiences relating to care, death and grief. Together with people with dementia and the very elderly, pupils and students in care professions are conducting research as citizen scientists.
In the newly released film, not only the scientists but also the Citizen Scientists themselves have their say and describe how a new perspective on these difficult topics developed through intergenerational and intercultural exchange.
The entire film can be viewed on the University of Vienna's video platform.
