Conference: Vocational Education and Training in Serbia: Getting Fit for the Future
Belgrade, 28 May 2024
What impact do global economic developments have on the economy and labour market in Serbia and what do these developments mean for vocational education and training in Serbia? Which reform steps need to be taken to ensure that Serbian vocational education and training is "fit for the future" and can thus successfully contribute to combating the increasing shortage of skilled labour in Serbia?
A wide range of stakeholders from the business and vocational education and training sectors will discuss these questions at the conference "Vocational Education and Training in Serbia: Getting Fit for the Future". The conference is organised by the OeAD and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO) in cooperation with the Serbian Ministry of Education and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
The aim of the conference is also to raise public awareness of the relevance of vocational education and training as an attractive route to relevant qualifications. 3 young "Skills Heroes" from Austria and Serbia will therefore also discuss what makes vocational education and training attractive from the perspective of young people.
The conference will be opened by the Serbian Minister of Education, Slavica Đukić Dejanović, the Austrian ambassador to Serbia, Christian Ebner, and the OeAD’s managing director, Jakob Calice.
