Webinar on Publishing in Citizen Science

The event will take place on August 2, 2024 and is dedicated to various aspects and challenges of publishing in the citizen science sector.

The training webinar is organized by the EU project European Citizen Science (ECS) and is the seventh training webinar of the network. The event is designed to be interactive and also includes a panel discussion with three experts. These are:

  •     James Sprinks, PhD | Senior Researcher at Earthwatch Europe; co-editor of the journal "Citizen Science: Theory and Practice"
  •     Jean Schensul, PhD | Founder of the Hispanic Health Council and the Institute for Community Research; founding member of the editorial board of the Community Science Exchange
  •     Joseph Roche, PhD | Associate Professor of Science Education at Trinity College Dublin; Guest Editor of the journal "Citizen Science: Theory & Practice"

The webinar is aimed in particular at early career researchers. They are invited to share their experiences of publishing in the field of Citizen Science and to report on challenges. Questions can be submitted to the panelists as part of the registration process.
