1 min read · 19. July 2024

The event is organized by the Berlin School of Public Engagement and Open Science (BSOPE), the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) and Scicomm-Support. It is aimed at PhD students, postdocs and researchers from all disciplines who want to learn how to deal with attacks, hate speech, trolling campaigns, or even physical threats they experience in response to their science communication activities.

Participants will learn about a wide range of science communication and public engagement strategies, gain insights into the extent and characteristics of hostility towards science in Germany, learn from practical examples from everyday research and learn to develop their own communication strategies.

Applications are possible until August 5, 2024.
