New policy brief on science communication in informal settings

The European COALESCE project deals with the topic of science communication and has published the "Policy brief on excellent scicomm for society at large through informal activities" in this context. It outlines strategies for improving science communication for society at large through informal activities.

The inclusion of informal settings is intended to reach the public with scientific content and result in greater acceptance in society. Informal activities can take various forms, such as public events, workshops, discussions or social media campaigns.

The policy brief contains several recommendations for successful science communication, such as reflection methods and partnerships, and also identifies structural needs, for example training opportunities and addressing marginalised groups.
