Apply now: Citizen Science Prize and Accelerator Program

The calls for applications for the European Union's Citizen Science Prize and the IMPETUS project's Accelerator Program start on 10 January 2024.

The European Union's Citizen Science Prize will be awarded for the second time in 2024. The prize honors outstanding citizen science projects that combine excellent research with the empowerment of civil society. It comprises a Grand Prize, two category prizes (Diversity & Collaboration and Digital Communities) and 27 honorary mentions.

Ars Electronica awards the Citizen Science Prize on behalf of the European Commission as part of the IMPETUS project. Projects and initiatives can apply from January 10 to March 11, 2024.
Further information

The European IMPETUS project is also launching an Accelerator Program that supports citizen science initiatives with institutional and financial resources for six months. Both ongoing and new projects can be supported. Applications can be submitted from January 10 to March 14, 2024.
