In the context of Citizen Science and schools, there are some special features. For example, subject-specific school lessons do not necessarily fit in with current interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary research projects. Pupils also have a special role to play. With the involvement of teachers, these projects also have additional citizen science mediators who help shape the project.

The handout outlines the path from the conception of the project to the practical implementation and completion of your own citizen science project. Summarized tips and reflection questions help you to integrate the topics into your own project planning. The publication is available for download here. The publication is in German.

The Austrian working group "Citizen Science at/with schools", coordinated by the OeAD Center for Citizen Science, developed a handout for teachers and researchers in 2021. Information on the working group and the publication can be found here.
