European project published Citizen Science Toolkit

The English-language starter kit for Citizen Science, which was developed by researchers from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in the EUTOPIA TRAIN project, provides information about the research approach and possible applications using definitions, guidelines and tips and tricks. The aim is to enable scientists to design citizen science projects themselves and to use methods in a targeted manner. 

The first module deals with the various terms and characteristics. The diversity of the field is illustrated using case studies from all branches of science and various disciplines. The second module offers some reflective questions and a decision-making framework to assess the suitability of a citizen science approach in your own project. In the third module, the authors address the central criteria of project design, which can then be applied to your own project idea with the help of the interactive fourth module.
