Motto of the conference

The Citizen Science 2023 forum will take place under the motto "Creating knowledge with diversity". The topic can be examined from different perspectives:

• What are the methodological similarities and differences of the diverse research projects that conduct participatory research under the catchword citizen science?
• What new insights does citizen science cooperation between different actors create? What are the framework conditions for their successful cooperation? 
• How can diversity expand the scientific knowledge gained by citizen science projects? In which research fields, however, does cooperation with specific target groups bring greater added value? How does the integration of diverse knowledge and expertise succeed?
• Does citizen science as a value-based research approach diversify and democratize science?
• What contribution does citizen science make to research into the diversity of nature and social perspectives?

Formats and deadline

The following formats can be submitted:

• Interactive format: max. 4 leaders, 90-minute interactive proposal.
• Short presentation: 1 presenter, 15-minute presentation 
• Poster: 1 presenter, 1-minute poster pitch and display wall at the market of opportunities

The deadline is June 26, 2023.
