From April 1 to July 31, families with an interest in science and research can join a variety of different citizen science activities, e.g. transcribe dialect words, document plastic pollution of agricultural soils and in the high mountains, create an online memorial book or investigate and improve (small) urban spaces.
Joint weekend activities, the days off from school in May and June, or the first weeks of vacation in July are ideal for cross-generational participation in the projects. Parents with their children, grandparents with their grandchildren, or aunts and uncles with their nieces and nephews can participate - in other words, at least two people from two different generations from one family unit.
The prizes will be awarded on October 19, 2023, during a festive ceremony at the Young Science Congress. This congress will be held in cooperation with the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) in Klosterneuburg (Lower Austria).
