The new news series "Inside Sparkling Science 2.0" provides deeper insights into the funded Sparkling Science projects. For the first interview, project leader Philipp Spitzer from the University of Graz answers our questions about his project "We talk about science".

In the funded Citizen Science project, he and his team are researching how pupils perceive science communication and how it can be made more relevant to the target group. In the interview, he notes that pupils often do not perceive science communication on topics such as "Covid-19" and in some cases do not understand it. This is how the idea for the project came about. "Science should not be a black box and take place behind closed doors," says Philipp Spitzer.

Philipp Spitzer will be part of the online panel discussion on 14 December 2022 from 14:00 to 16:00 on the topic "Forschen(d) lernen. Practical science education for children and young people". The event language is German. Register now!
