For the ninth time, the OeAD Center for Citizen Science, on behalf of the Austrian Science Ministry (BMBWF), invited ongoing citizen science and open innovation projects of Austrian research institutions to register for the Citizen Science Award. Within the context of this research competition, schoolchildren and all interested parties can participate in research on selected projects from 1 April to 31 July 2023. The most committed citizen scientists will be honoured at a ceremony in autumn 2023.

The registration was possible via an Online form. The project call closed.

The BMBWF and the OeAD Center for Citizen Science will select the projects for participation in the Citizen Science Award 2023. The aim is to offer the broadest possible range of scientific projects from different disciplines that enable different forms of engagement. The selected projects will be notified in early December 2022.
