Call for proposals for the Top Citizen Science funding program

With a total funding volume of 250,000 euros, the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) finances citizen science extension projects that are suitable in terms of content and methodology and are based on a FWF-funded basic project.

In addition, funding in the amount of 150,000 euros is also available for the first time in 2023 for projects on the topic of "Sustainable Food Systems". Funding will be provided for citizen science projects dealing with sustainable food and a sustainable food system. This thematic funding is implemented as a joint initiative with austria wirtschaftsservice (aws) and is financed by Fonds Zukunft Österreich.

• Project duration: max. 2 years
• Funding per project: max. 50,000 euros
• Eligible to apply: Scientists leading an FWF project
• Submission period: February 22 to May 31, 2023
