The Austrian Development Research Prize 2019 went to Walter Schicho und Teresa Millesi

The Development Research Prize, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF), was awarded by the OeAD-GmbH’s Department of Education and Research for International Development Cooperation for the 4th time in 2019.

In the course of a festive award ceremony at the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) the Head of Department Mag. Barbara Weitgruber, MA as well as Jakob Calice, PhD, managing director of the OeAD-GmbH, presented this year's award. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Walter Schicho was awarded the main prize for his scientific life's work and Mag. Teresa Millesi, BA was awarded the junior researcher's prize for her scientific article on violence in land conflicts in Latin American documentary films.
