Friday the 21st of July, the first Summer Meetup for the scholarship holders of the Ernst Mach Grant Ukraine took place in Vienna. As the Ernst Mach Grant Ukraine became an important financial aid to many Ukrainian students and academics in Austria, with the organized Summer Meetup participants had an opportunity to finally meet their fellow scholarship holders and establish valuable contacts. The events4scholars team organized another day trip for Viennese scholarship holders. On Nov 18 th , 38 scholarship holders from Vienna met in the morning for a day trip to different places in Lower Austria. Our first station was the Seegrotte in Hinterbrühl, where we enjoyed an interesting tour through the old mine. Our guide Kinley, originally from Bhutan, guided us through the big underground world [...] invited to taste a few sweet chestnuts and a Non-Alcoholic punch at the Christmas market in the beautiful park of Baden. On 23rd of June, one of the most popular and well-visited excursions within the framework of events4scholars took place. More than 50 scholarship holders from all over the world participated in the trip "The journey of the Vienna’s drinking water". The first part led the group to Wildalpen in the Northen part of Styria where the participants watched a film before visiting the museum HochQuellenWasser [...] difference of 360 Meter in 36 hours without artificial pumping. The highlight of the day was the visit to the underground source of Kläfferquelle, one of the richest water sources in Europe. The scholarship holders were very impressed, and they could convince themselves about the uniqueness of the Vienna’s mountain spring water.
