To ensure medical care in rural areas of Lower Austria in the future the Country Doctor Scholarship Lower Austria was established in cooperation with the OeAD. Applications are open to students of medicine at Austrian universities who are at least in their third year of study in October 2023 and have their main place of residence in Austria. The monthly scholarship installment amounts to 923 euros [...] hospitals. In return, they commit to working for at least five years in a region of need in the state of Lower Austria. In the fall of 2022, 20 scholarship places have already been awarded to medical students. Students from ten Irish and British universities wrote texts in German on the life and work of Austrian artists this year. The winners of this year's #writeAUT writing competition were recently chosen at the Austrian Cultural Forum London. Students from universities in the UK and Ireland were invited to submit texts on six Austrian artists this year: Emilie Flöge, Alma Mahler-Werfel, Ingeborg Bachmann

workshop meeting on January 24, 2023 at the University of Graz, Petra Siegele, head of the OeAD Center for Citizen Science, gave a presentation on "Citizen Science and Schools" to researchers and students. She presented the activities of the center and gave insights into experiences as well as tips for successful planning and implementation of citizen science projects with schools.
