Cultural Office in Austria awarded 13 scholars for the Taiwan and Huayu Scholarship Program . Ambassador Vanessa Shih personally congratulated the scholars and handed over their letters of award. She expressed her pleasure regarding the development of relations between Austria and Taiwan. Each year, more than 500 students and researchers from Taiwan visit Austria, and their interest in scientific cooperation [...] cooperation is growing steadily. From the Austrian side, the interest in studying in Taiwan is also constantly increasing every year.
The new funding programme which was launched in Taiwan and Austria shall support the implementation and development of international cooperation activities between Taiwan and Austria. The aim of the programme is to stimulate joint activities and to contribute to direct collaboration among universities, higher education and research institutions in Taiwan and Austria. Funding for bilateral research projects [...] basic research are invited to apply in cooperation with a project partner in Taiwan. All proposals must be submitted at both the OeAD by the Austrian project coordinator and at the MOE by the Taiwanese project coordinator.
