© OeADGIRT’s third project year was dedicated to analysing the qualitative research phase in Ethiopia and Mozambique. Once interviewing was completed at all four study sites, a preliminary assessment of the data was conducted. Altogether, more than 400 interviews with female and male residents in informal settlements and slums had been conducted by researchers, as well as PhD students and research associates affiliated with the project. The project Countering Violent Crime against Women and Girls in Georgia (COVIOCRIM) aims at building a professional network of “first responders” in order to effectively and sustainably address the challenges of violence against women and girls (VAWG) in Georgia. The project will implement interactive and interdisciplinary training programmes, expand academic qualification opportunities, and establish a Legal Clinic in Tbilisi to provide victims of VAWG with accessible and immediate support. The second year of the project was characterised by the reopening of universities in the Amhara region following the outbreak of conflict. This enabled the launch of the Geomatics Master's programme. Courses were delivered using a team-teaching approach, with Austrian lecturers teaching online via Zoom and Ethiopian colleagues providing on-site support. Initial community services were provided for land administration experts and local farmers.
