Fernando Ruiz Peyré completed his PhD in Innsbruck in 2014, supported by the North-South-Dialogue scholarship, which fostered early collaborations beyond Europe. After nearly a decade as Assistant Professor at the University Innsbruck, he is now Junior Group Leader at ÖAW’s Institute for Interdisciplinary Mountain Research. Dr. Nyadoi Priscilla is a trailblazing Ugandan scientist and OeAD Scholarship alumna who studied population genetics of Tamarindus indica L. at Austria’s AIT and the University of Vienna. She earned her PhD from Makerere University in 2011. Today, she serves as Deputy Director at Uganda Martyrs University and is the Chairperson of the Organization for Women in Sciences for the Developing World (OWSD) Uganda National Chapter.
