His PhD studies at the University of Vienna profoundly shaped his scientific outlook, inspiring innovations in Uganda’s water ecosystem management and forging lasting international partnerships that continue to drive impactful research.

Enhancing Employability and Lifelong Learning Through Collaborative Research in Ethiopia and Austria

The project, Employability and Lifelong Learning in Technical and Vocational Professions: A Joint Partnership Research Project in Austria and Ethiopia, explored challenges and opportunities in technical and vocational education and training (TVET). It focused on employability outcomes in the Ethiopian TVET system and the development and implementation of National Qualifications Frameworks (NQFs) in both Ethiopia and Austria. This collaborative initiative, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4, aimed to ensure inclusive and equitable education and lifelong learning while addressing the development needs of both partner countries.
