Online workshop series on citizen science

The German citizen science platform mit:forschen! Gemeinsam Wissen schaffen offers a digital training series for anyone who is new to citizen science and would like to carry out their own projects. The workshops are also suitable for project managers and multipliers who want to expand their skills in planning and implementing citizen science activities. The next edition will take place between March 9 and 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. via Zoom.

The program combines an introductory basic module with in-depth workshops on key aspects of citizen science projects: Participants learn how participatory research works, relevant communication and evaluation strategies, and how cooperation and volunteer management can be organized effectively. The series is rounded off by an interactive ideas workshop in which participants can explore their own project concepts in depth and reflect on them with other workshop participants.
