Special emphasis was placed on the institutional impact, key contributions to the organic sector, and the ongoing cooperation between the Armenian National Agrarian University and BOKU University.

Ugandan-Austrian University Cooperation - Information and Networking Meeting

The networking meeting on 16 January 2025 at Kyambogo University in Uganda marked a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between Ugandan and Austrian universities. The event began with the national anthems of Uganda, Austria, East Africa, and Kyambogo University, setting the tone for an inspiring gathering. Among the distinguished guests were Dr. Simone Knapp, the Austrian Ambassador to Uganda, and Dr. Eli Katunguka-Rwakishaya, Vice Chancellor of Kyambogo University. The meeting brought together around 80 scholars, alumni, and staff from various Ugandan institutions.

GIRT project partner meeting in Addis Ababa

In March 2024, a project meeting of the APPEAR Project242 GIRT | Strengthening Research and Educational Competences of HEIs for Gender sensitive Urban (InfoRmal Settlement) Transformation took place in Addis Ababa. The project teams from Addis Ababa University, Bahir Dar University, Mekelle University and the University for Continuing Education Krems met in the Ethiopian capital to present and discuss the results from the first half of the project and to plan and discuss the next activities.

Alumni Reception at the Austrian Embassy in Ethiopia
