  The art of creating spaces for rural and urban communities - Examples from Nicaragua and Palestine: The two appear projects RURAL_DEV in Palestine and URBAN_MANAGUA in Nicaragua both aim at enhancing the local communities' quality of life through spatial planning measures for rural and urban environments, respectively. Similarities and differences in the projects’ approaches shall be identified and the limits and possibilities for social and political changes be discussed.

  Ö1 Campusradio - Lernen aus Erfahrung: Erfahrungsaustausch zu Projekten der Entwicklungsforschung

  During a workshop in November 2013 Austrian APPEAR project partners discussed about their experiences in higher education cooperation, intercultural communication challenges, the different project environments and they brainstormed on possible solutions for overcoming those challenges in the future. Two participants of the workshop were reporting about the pitfalls of practical development research, how to deal with it and to learn from experiences.

  Ö1 Campusradio - Nachlese zur Veranstaltung "APPEAR in practice_2"

  This broadcast is dedicated to the event appear in practice_2 which took place on 29 May 2013 and gave space to present two APPEAR projects and talk about challenges, lessons learnt, highlights of the cooperation between Austrian educational institutions and their counterparts in Central America. Daniel Querol, project coordinator of DEPARTIR and Eva Klawatsch-Treitl, project coordinator of TECS told the inside story.
