The conference will take place from 24 to 26 February 2026 at the Montanuniversität Leoben in Styria under the motto ‘Cycles of Knowledge’. Overall, the conference is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Women, Science, and Research. The conference theme emphasises the importance of citizen scientists in knowledge production and encourages consideration of the reflexive collaboration between citizens, researchers, companies and authorities.

This one-stage call welcomes contributions in seven different formats, including presentations, short pitches with posters, workshops and training sessions, as well as contributions for the public day, which interested parties can attend free of charge. Submissions are aimed at academic researchers as well as civil society actors, teachers, mediators and interested initiatives. It can be submitted online until 30 September 2025.

Detailed information on the submission formats and the link to the submission form can be found in the full Call for Abstracts.
