In recent years, increasing emphasis has been placed on involving the public in research. Funding agencies and policy makers recognize the value of citizen participation in scientific projects. Citizen science is not just an add-on, but a powerful approach that enriches research, builds public trust and increases societal impact. However, knowing how, when and where to involve the public in your research can be a challenge.
That's why the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA), together with the Université Paris Cité/Learning Planet Institute, is launching a series of workshops on this topic as part of the European Citizen Science Academy within the European Citizen Science (ECS) project. The online workshops are aimed at early career researchers who wish to apply for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025 and are looking for guidance on how to integrate citizen science into their research proposals.
Participants should already have a clear research concept and want to improve their proposal with Citizen Science. The program is designed to help researchers refine their own ideas and ensure that their proposals are compelling, well-structured and meet the requirements of the MSCA.
