This photo competition was launched in the middle of December and was open during one month. Participants were invited to upload their picture on a platform and to provide a short description of the picture, explaining what was the impact of Erasmus+ (or one of its predecessor programmes) on their lives. More than 1600 entries were received in total, from participants coming from more than 70 countries. The objective was to celebrate the 33 years of existence and the diversity of Erasmus+ through a selection of 33 winning pictures representative of all the Erasmus+ landscape.

Since its creation in 1987, the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission has given more than 10 million students, pupils, learners and young people the opportunity to gain valuable experience abroad, enabling them to strengthen their skills, to learn from each other and to evolve towards an European mindset.
