It compares the performances of higher education institutions – in short: universities – in the five dimensions of university activity: (1) teaching and learning, (2) research, (3) knowledge transfer, (4) international orientation and (5) regional engagement.

It becomes apparent that the vast majority of Austria’s HEIs performs particularly well in view of international orientation as well as research, whereas, based on the U-Multirank indicators, there is room for improvement in teaching and learning for a number of institutions.
