Sparkling-Science-Spotlight "How can citizen science enrich history lessons?"

How can citizen science enrich history lessons and give students the opportunity to experience history as an open, multi-layered, and living process?
1 min read · 26. January 2026

Three Sparkling Science projects dealing with different topics, such as stories of flight, memory culture, and digital games, will share their experiences in the spotlight. In addition to scientists from the project teams, participating teachers will also report on what they have learned from the research-education collaborations and the opportunities offered by citizen science projects.

Participants:

  • Alexander Preisinger (Digital GameBase/D Learning)
  • Lamprecht Gerald and Georg Marschnig (The Memory of the Classroom)
  • Merle Bieber and Andrea Losert-Ganglberger (Young People with Refugee Experience)
