Citizen Science Ideas Workshop

On January 14, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., the OeAD Center for Citizen Science invites participants to an online workshop offering Citizen Scientists from across Austria the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of collaborative research. The goal is to discuss how conditions, access, and educational opportunities can be improved to further strengthen citizen participation in various research fields. The ideas gathered will feed into a future research infrastructure for Citizen Science.

In October 2025, the first workshop within the EU project “RIECS-Concept” took place in Vienna, where Citizen Scientists from different initiatives shared their experiences, ideas, and needs regarding future collaboration in research. Building on these valuable results, the OeAD Center for Citizen Science now invites everyone to continue this exchange.

Interested Citizen Scientists from all over Austria are warmly invited to participate and share their own perspectives and experiences. Participation in the first workshop is not required.
