The Sparkling Science project at the University for Continuing Education Krems is researching how digital technologies can be linked to business in a practical way in order to strengthen the digital and professional skills of school students.

In the first half of 2025, teachers and students at four commercial academies in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria developed and tested various teaching and learning scenarios for this purpose. The results were recently presented and discussed at a project meeting.

The participating teachers, scientists and business experts femphasised the high added value created by close cooperation between schools, business and science, and the importance of this research for the sustainable education of young people.

Starting in autumn 2025, the revised teaching and learning scenarios are to be implemented at all locations and scientifically monitored as part of the funding programme until 2027.
