Climate change is one of the greatest societal challenges of our time and is playing an increasingly important role in school curricula. But how can topics such as the energy transition, climate neutrality, and climate resilience be taught in the classroom and explored together with students? Answers to these questions will be provided at the next Sparkling Science Spotlight on the topic “From Research to the Classroom: Exploring Climate Change with Sparkling Science Projects!” on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

During the event, three ongoing citizen science projects will provide insights into their research to date and share practical examples of how research can be successfully conducted in the classroom. In addition to best-practice examples, educational approaches from various scientific disciplines as well as experiences from collaborations between research institutions and schools will be presented.
