

The Mozarteum University in Salzburg also made it into the top 50 in the performing arts, improving by 21 places to rank 12. The University of Vienna achieved seven top rankings in 2025: media and communication studies (15), theology (29), classical studies (36), history (44), anthropology (44), geography (47) and archaeology (47). The BOKU University was ranked 28th in agriculture and forestry, while the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna was ranked 31st in veterinary medicine. The Central European University (CEU) was also represented and ranked 43rd in political science.
