Scholar Birtukan Asmare presents paper on health risks of pesticides for female farmers in Ethiopia

Her PhD research project aims to explore pesticide use practices among rural female headed households in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. On the Tropentag conference “Towards shifting paradigms in agriculture for a healthy and sustainable future” from 15-17 September 2021 organized by the University of Hohenheim, Germany, she presented a paper online.

New open access publications on sustainable water resource management in Ethiopia

Within the LARIMA project a joint team of Ethiopian and Austrian researchers established biodiversity baseline data of highland rivers. They have contributed to fundamental knowledge that can be used to improve sustainable management of surface water in Ethiopia and beyond.
