Sparkling Science Spotlight on Multilingualism and Tree Growth

As part of the one-hour session on March 13, 2025 from 1:00 p.m., two exciting Sparkling Science projects will present themselves and share their objectives and experiences:

City-Tree-Soil
This project of the Federal Research Center for Forests investigates the effects of the urban environment on tree growth and soil carbon. This enables better planning of urban climate protection measures and the results contribute to improving national greenhouse gas reporting.

SAG S MULTI - Multilingual Empowerment
The central partner in this project of the University of Vienna is the speech competition “SAG'S MULTI”, which offers young people a stage on which they can demonstrate their skills in German and another language. The project investigates the extent to which “SAG'S MULTI” has a self-empowering effect.
