Among other things discussions will focus on how internationally oriented models of cooperation between higher education institutions and the world of work can contribute to the successful integration of graduates into society and the labour market. The conference will also address the skills that employers expect today – and how international study programmes can contribute to the development of these skills. The role of higher education institutions as drivers of innovation and bridge builders between science, business and the global world of work will also be examined.
Moreover, the conference will address two key higher education policy issues:
- the concept of responsible internationalisation in view of geopolitical tensions
- and the Global Gateway Initiative, which will define Europe's global role in an increasingly connected world of education and research.
One highlight will be the presentation of the Internationalisation Award on 27 November.
There will also be a varied supporting programme – from a guided tour of the new OeAD student residence in Innsbruck (25 November), an evening city tour of Kufstein (26 November) and a tour of the FH Kufstein Tirol (27 November).
