Environmental Citizen Science in Conflict Zones for Accountability and Empowerment

On October 24, 2025, the University of Copenhagen will host the international conference “Environmental Citizen Science in Conflict Zones for Accountability and Empowerment.” The focus will be on how citizen science and environmental data from civil society can contribute to transparency and accountability in conflict zones, with a particular focus on Ukraine during and after the Russian invasion. Experts from academia, civil society, politics, and student representatives will discuss legal and social aspects of participatory research.

Participation on site in Copenhagen or online is free of charge.
