Within the framework of the APPEAR funded Preparatory Funding "DEVELOPMENT OF THE OPTIMUM NETWORK OF PV WATER PUMPING STATIONS FOR IRRIGATION OF LAND", a forum dedicated to the World Water Day, which is celebrated all over the world, was held on 23 April. The National Polytechnic University of Armenia once again brought together representatives of local communities, state bodies, the private sector, as well as representatives of a number of international structures and embassies operating in Armenia, researchers interested in the field, academics and students to raise the urgency of water issues and ways of solving them.
Klaus Kapper, Head of the Yerevan office of the Austrian Development Agency, noted that water problems exist all over the world and called for action to be taken regardless of geography for the proper management of the life-sustaining fluid.
A report on the forum was broadcast on the Armenian public broadcaster H1 TV and a news article is available on the website of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
