“Science Engagement Skills” is aimed at scientists and supports them in communicating research in a way that is understandable, clear, and tailored to the target audience. The project offers practice-oriented formats, including half-day training sessions, online coaching, and moderated exchange meetings. The aim is to equip interested parties with a set of methods and formats that facilitate entry into dialogue-oriented science communication.
Funded by the BMBWF, the offerings are free of charge and are aimed at individual researchers (not entire research groups or institutes).
With this project, the ScienceCenter Network is making an important contribution to promoting “science engagement,” i.e., strengthening the dialogue between science and society—a step toward greater transparency, trust, and social participation in scientific research.
