NAFSA 2026

Together with a delegation of Austrian higher education institutions, the OeAD participated in this year’s NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida, under the umbrella of the Study in Austria initiative, showcasing Austria’s higher education sector to an international audience.

Throughout the conference, numerous discussions were held with existing and prospective partner institutions from the United States, Canada and beyond. These exchanges focused on strengthening established collaborations, exploring new partnership opportunities, and discussing current developments and challenges in international higher education.

A particular highlight was the joint reception at CityArts Orlando, organised in cooperation with the DAAD, Fulbright Germany and Fulbright Austria. The event brought together more than 200 participants from around the world and provided an excellent platform for networking and for fostering and expanding academic connections across North America.
