The project “TU-BRIDGE – TU Austria Doc School for Battery Imaging, Durability, Ageing & Recycling” was selected from six high-calibre submissions. The decision was made following a multi-stage selection process based on scientific excellence, strategic relevance and a compelling training and cooperation concept. In future, partner institutions such as BOKU University, Johannes Kepler University Linz and the University of Innsbruck are also to be involved.
With the new Doctoral School, the universities are strengthening their collaboration in doctoral education and pooling their expertise in key fields of the future. The TU-BRIDGE project focuses on key areas of modern battery technology, such as analysis, ageing, service life and recycling, thereby addressing central challenges of the energy and mobility transition. At the same time, the initiative aims to raise the international profile of Austria as a research hub and create an attractive environment for early-career researchers.
