OeAD in Chişinău

On 19 November 2025 the Moldovan education minister Dan Perciun, Viorica Andritchi, head of the National Institute for Education and Leadership of the Republic of Moldova, Elisa Augustin, OeAD head of department, and Kathrin Wenny, educational coordinator, met for a working meeting in the capital city of Chişinău. The meeting followed a study trip by a Moldovan delegation to Linz to the University College of Teacher Education Upper Austria from 12 to 15 October, which served to exchange ideas regarding initial teacher training and the structure of the teaching internship.

The Moldovan side showed particular interest in the Austrian training model. With this in view, the meeting discussed current priorities for cooperation and explored prospects for intensified cooperation in 2026. The aim is to strengthen the bilateral exchange of experience between the Republic of Moldova and Austria in the long term and to promote joint developments in the field of education.
