Under the main theme of “Algorithms, Platforms, and AI: Science Communication in the Digital Transformation,” around 750 participants—including numerous guests from Austria—discussed the future of knowledge transfer. The OeAD Center for Citizen Science was there to network and gather inspiration for the continuation of its successful training series on artificial intelligence, which is planned for 2026.
The focus is on questions about the impact of artificial intelligence on science communication and strategies for how researchers and communicators can actively shape digital transformation. The Science Communication Forum has been organized annually since 2008 by Wissenschaft im Dialog, the joint organization of German science for science communication.
