Visiting Professorship at the University of Alberta

Target group

• Doctorate from an Austrian university in political science, sociology, musicology, art history, history with a focus on modern Austrian history or Central and Eastern European history;
• Excellent knowledge of English;
• Several years of experience at a university/scientific institution is desirable;
• Proven interdisciplinary experience/interests;
• At least two semesters of teaching experience at a university;
• Proven research work or publications in the respective discipline, if possible with a focus on Austrian studies;

Location: Wirth Institute for Austrian and Central European Studies at the University of Alberta in Canada

Duration: 2 academic years starting on 1 September 2026, with the possibility of extension for a further year
