Assistant professorship at the Center for Austrian Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem

Target group:

• Doctorate from an Austrian university in humanities or social sciences, gender studies, cultural studies, organisation studies with a focus on the Danube region and Austrian cultural and social development in connection with its significance for pan-European intellectual life;
• Philosophical-historical background is desirable;
• Excellent knowledge of English;
• Several years of experience at a university/scientific institution are desirable, teaching experience is an advantage;
• Proven interdisciplinary experience/interests;
• Proven research work or publications in the respective discipline are desirable;

Location: Center for Austrian Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem | European Forum

Duration: One academic year – 2026/27, starting on 1 October 2026
