“Citizen Science for Schools!” – New guidebook for teachers

The new booklet Citizen Science for Schools! demonstrates how students can actively participate in research projects and experience scientific work first-hand. It provides teachers with a wide range of examples for implementing citizen science projects in the classroom, practical tips, and insights into the benefits of this participatory approach.

Especially for teachers who have not yet engaged with citizen science, the booklet explains how inquiry-based learning can be successfully integrated into school settings and what to consider in the process.

The publication was released by Wissenschaft im Dialog as part of the mit:forschen! project, a collaboration with the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. It was created in cooperation with the German working group “Citizen Science in Schools,” with advisory input from OeAD.

The booklet is available online free of charge and may be freely shared and reproduced.
