Ernst Mach Scholarship – UKRAINE extended once again until the end of February 2026

Current scholarship holders can apply for an extension of their scholarships for up to 10 months until 28 February 2026 provided that they meet the formal requirements of the programme. New applications are not possible.

The Ernst Mach Scholarship – Ukraine currently supports more than 600 Ukrainian students in taking up, continuing and completing their studies at Austrian higher education institutions.

Exemption from paying tuition fees for two more semesters
Moreover, all Ukrainian students will be exempted from paying tuition fees at public universities and university colleges of teacher education for the summer semester of 2025 and the winter semester of 2025/2026. This exemption has been included in the amendment to the Tuition Fees Regulation (StuBeiV).
