The training series for Young Science and Citizen Science contact persons consists of three thematic modules and takes place online. Two experts each provide insights into the opportunities and challenges for use in a scientific context. Participation is free of charge.
Module 2: Using AI responsibly: (new) quality standards for science communication
The use of AI in science communication is changing established work processes and challenging existing quality standards. Where automated systems help shape content or influence editorial decisions, new requirements for diligence, transparency, and accountability arise. This training course provides insight into how institutions are addressing these challenges. It highlights current developments in the field of quality-assured AI use, presents examples of transparency guidelines in practice, and discusses strategies for active risk management. The focus is on how responsible AI application contributes to ensuring trust and how professional communication standards are changing.
