Citizen Science Lecture Series: “Collecting Ticks for Research Purposes”
Österreich forscht organizes the Citizen Science Seminar in the summer semester of 2026, a public lecture series at BOKU University that presents current citizen science projects and their background. The series is aimed at students and interested individuals from all backgrounds and offers insights into projects in the fields of ecology, the humanities, and the social sciences, as well as practical experiences and potential pitfalls in conducting participatory research.
On April 22, 2026, from 2:00–3:30 p.m, Anna-Margarita Schötta (AGES) will present the project “Discovering Ticks for Research Purposes” and provide insights into its implementation, the data collected, and the challenges and opportunities of citizen science in practice.
