Austrian Citizen Science Conference 2026

In February 2026, the 10th Austrian Citizen Science Conference will make a stop in Styria. The Technical University of Leoben, the OeAD-Centre for Citizen Science and the Citizen Science Network Austria invite you to Leoben, where the citizen science community will gather in the heart of Austria from February 24-26 under the motto “Cycles of Knowledge”.

“Cycles of Knowledge” describes the integration of Citizen Science into knowledge cycles, emphasizing the role of citizens not only in the application of knowledge, but also in the production of knowledge. Citizens, researchers, companies and public authorities are connected through knowledge cycles. Joint research, sharing and further development of knowledge creates a sustainable innovation process based on collaboration and responsibility. The central idea is that knowledge is not only consumed, but also actively fed back and reused - for solutions that shape our future.
