Radio and TV

At Radiomap you can find a list of all radio stations which can be received in Linz. The radio station Ö1 is Austria’s cultural station and broadcasts detailed news as well as concerts and radio plays.

All Austrian newspapers (Der Standard, Die Presse, Kurier, Krone etc.) also have a website where you can find information in German language.

The public broadcasting company (ORF) also has a news page at eine Nachrichtenseite. Tip: At the ORF-TVthek you can watch past television programmes and some programmes live.

The simplest way to use your mobile phone in Linz is by buying a pay-as-you-go SIM card from one of the Austrian mobile phone operators.
